ABOUT HEATHER

Proud to have been born and raised in Midland, Heather knew from a young age that this is where she wanted to raise her family. She married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Kit Bredimus, and after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, she enjoyed a career as a 1st grade teacher in Galveston and Austin. A few years later, the couple moved back home, and Heather joined her parents at their business, House of Printing, as a graphic designer.

Heather and Kit have been married for 18 years and share 4 beautiful children. Together, they served as foster parents, loving 13 children during their time with High Sky Children’s Ranch. Since then, Heather has founded a support group for foster/adoptive families through the St. Joseph’s Ministry and developed a mentor program for foster youth who have aged out of the child welfare system. Her community involvement spans across multiple areas of service.

She is a Certified Rape Victim Advocate with the Crisis Center of West Texas, an award winning volunteer with the Midland Community Theatre, President Elect for the Rotary Club of Midland, a Board Member for the League of Women Voters, a Heart Gallery Champion with One Accord for Texas, and creator of several community initiatives, including “Thank A Healthcare Hero”. She also serves as a member of the Citizens Development and Hotel/Motel Advisory Board with the City of Midland.
