PUBLIC SAFETY
For Midland to be the best place in Texas to live and raise a family, City Council must focus on public safety and fully staffing our police department. Heather will support competitive salaries and provide first responders with the best training and resources. Partnerships with MISD and Midland College can provide a great recruitment tool for the best and brightest who want to serve our community.
IMPROVE ROAD
MAINTENANCE
Midland residents deserve city services of the highest standard. Heather will collaborate with city staff to implement a more effective strategy to improve road maintenance and reduce construction interruptions.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Heather will support fiscally responsible incentive strategies to expand the commercial tax base and diversify our local economy. She'll encourage high-quality retail, dining, and entertainment options that residents want to see open up in Midland, while ensuring our city is also the best place for small businesses to thrive by organizing opportunities for local businesses to provide feedback on ways the city can support them.
STRATEGIC GROWTH
Our city is growing in all directions, especially in North and Northeast Midland. Heather will prioritize the development of the growing neighborhoods in District 1. Frequent input and communication with residents in these areas will ensure that their voices are represented as a new development plan is strategically and responsibly created.
QUALITY OF PLACE
Heather will collaborate with neighborhood leaders, property owners, and businesses to upgrade the quality of life in Midland. She will support protecting our green spaces by keeping our parks and recreation centers updated with the best equipment and offering programs that specifically aim to increase participation from our community.

Heather will lead by listening and seek feedback from all Midland residents. She is committed to including you in the discussion and finding ways for everyone to get involved and stay informed.
